One Year to the Great Migration!

Published in wildlifephotography tripOverseas CourseNature photography courseAfrica by Julian W.

In about one year from now, I will be leading a group of nature photgraphy enthusiasts on the phone to the Royal Wildlife "Pilgrimage". Yes! You've guessed correctly! It's a photography expedition to Africa!

Africa is undisputedly considered as the "Mecca" for wildlife viewing and photographing, and no nature lover/photographer should have a reason to miss.  Now, imagine the following:
SimbaCamp.jpg

-  Herds of zebra, gazelle, wildebeest and other grazers roaming the plains,
spreading out towards the horizon, as far as your eyes can see
-  Prides of lion, packs of hyenas and other predators watching their
game intensively
-  An army of flamingoes gathering at their favourite haunt, turning their
habitat into a sea of pink
-  Hungry crocodiles waiting patiently for their buffet meals to arrive
-  The landscape changes tonality and character as the sun kisses the
horizon..

-And the list goes on and on....Yes, welcome to Wild Africa!!

So did I manage to "whet" your appetite for the trip?  In case you're guessing..that's right, anybody can join me for this coming trip but there would be limited (extremely) seats available due to the fact that a small photography entourage would be most ideal for optimum photography opportunities.  We will be having the following highlights:

-  Visit Masai Mara, and watch the Great Migration (up to a million
animals) crossing the river in search of greener pastures;
-  Soak in the culture of the Masai tribe and experience their way of life;
-  Spot the "BIG FIVE" and other wildlife at the Ngorongoro Crater, the
world's largest unbroken volcanic caldera;
-  Observe a sea of pink flamingoes colouring the landscape at Lake
Nakuru or Lake Naivasha
-  Enjoy optimum wildlife viewing and photography at the world-renowned
Serengeti.

And you'll be right to guess that the trip would not be cheap :P  So, start saving now (but dun skimp and skip your meals) and you have exactly a year to do so...More details would be littered along the way, and a massive buildup will be accumulated prior to the trip!

Stay tuned okies?
